Element 22
We are thrilled to introduce the Saint Bones Element 22 collection, our take on what a contemporary and affordable sports luxury watch should be: well-balanced, light, thin, comfortable, technically advanced, reliable, functional, beautiful, attractive, and genuinely versatile. Element 22 is designed to be a perfect 'daily beater' that works impeccably with any outfit and for any occasion. Comfort and long-lasting experience were our top priorities in the design and prototyping processes. Nearly 10 years of experience allowed us to find the perfect balance and synergy in every aspect: material selection, finishing, precision, reliability, aesthetics, and legibility. The collection's name refers to titanium, the 22nd element of the periodic table and clearly one of the world's most curious and functional materials available to man.
The Case
The three-piece case is made of aerospace grade 5 titanium to highest precision standards with CNC machinery.
- Diameter: 43 mm
- Thickness: 10
- Water Resistance: 50 m / 5 atm (100 m / 10 atm execution is available upon request)
The Dial
The Element 22 features a gorgeous all forged carbon dial with applied silver hour markers. Forged carbon is another excellent material borrowed from the automotive and aerospace industries. It is composed of fine pure carbon fibers and polymer epoxy resins that are baked under high pressure. As a result, we get a composite material with unimaginable properties: extremely lightweight and durable at the same time, with excellent biocompatibility, absolute corrosion resistance, and tons of charm. The atelier department of Saint Bones experiments with carbon composite to create the most daring combinations of materials you can imagine in watchmaking and jewelry.
All titanium
Because of its properties and distinction, we love to use titanium as much as possible in our timepiece designs. The all-titanium Element 22 timepiec, for instance, has almost all parts fabricated in Grade 5 titanium: bezel, middle case, caseback, movement holder ring, crown, and even all 12 screws. Eventually, all these unique features of titanium come at a price – it is way more complicated in machining and finishing than traditional stainless steel. Grade 5 titanium has a unique greyish color that strongly resembles the king of all precious metals – platinum.
SMALL SERIES ATELIER PRODUCTION
Not only conception, design, and engineering happen in-house, but also the larger part of the assembly process. While the movement is tailor-made in Switzerland, and the titanium parts are produced using heavy machinery by our partners, the hand finishing of every part, assembly, and testing - happen strictly in our workshop in Vienna. Element 22 is a small series production and each piece is made to order.
